DRAP Provides Contaminated and Inadequate Facilities

An Update from Islamabad informs that on Wednesday Members of the Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services visited the laboratory of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan and were exasperated with the mediocre and deficient amenities that were delivered there.
In Chak Shahzad, a consultation of the commission was constituted in that very Laboratory. The members also visited distinctive departments of the lab and were stunned to see the insanitary condition and inferior services offered there.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan informed the committee members about the operative of the lab. It was stated that the lab was preoccupied with inquiries of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Senator Rubina Khalid of a party in Pakistan, PPP said the standard of facilities being given to the multitudes rested on the recital of DRAP, tallying that the committee members were set to expedite the lab faculty.
Senator Sardar Shafiq Tareen said several officers in the NIH were equipped with various. He advocated that the institute should expedite the process of employment on vacant posts. Another senator inquired about the apparatuses that were provided to the laboratory, on which she was told that the details would be provided soon.
Dr. Hamayun Mohmand, The committee chairman, said the committee that they wouldkeep the lab under a fixed period of speculation in the hope that the quality of servicesand the conditions of operation will be upgraded shortly. He said it was the first visit ofthe committee and commanded the lab specialists to deliver an assessment report in thenext meeting.
