India should be taken to ICJ for its Worst Human Right Violations

The settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people under UNO resolutions is absolutely essential for South Asia’s long-term peace.
Speakers at the National Peace Colloquium, jointly organized by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) and the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) in honour of World Peace Day at the National Press Club (NPC) in Islamabad, expressed these sentiments.
Faiz Naqshbandi, the convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), said that India is breaking all international laws by changing the demography of Indian-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).Kashmiris do not have the right to live freely, nor do they have the option of dying as they wish.Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s death and forcible burial demonstrate that the Indian government does not allow Kashmiris to die peacefully, and what kind of sacrifices does the world expect from the people of IIOJK after that?
The statement of JKSM Chairman Altaf Ahmad Bhat was circulated at the conference, in which he stated that “peace” is the most abused and dangerous word today.
The western hegemony and realistic approach of world powers drove it to such extremes that countries were destroyed, millions were killed, and a million people were forced to migrate in the name of peace. Children, including the elderly, were subjected to abuse. The IIOJK peace is based on the same doctrine. People were and are increasingly conjugated in oppression in the name of peace and development by the world’s largest extremist democracy.
Bhat also stated that the people of IIOJK suffer in every way when it comes to peacebuilding, such as the Indian definition of peacebuilding, which involves killing innocent people in order to keep a false peace and fool the world into believing that “the Kashmiri people are with us as we maintain regional stability.Everything, from personal liberty and rights to common people’s rights, is heavily censored by the occupation authorities in IIOJK in order to silence emerging voices against aggression and oppression.
Farzana Yaqoob, a former minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), said Pakistan should take a proactive diplomatic approach to reach out to the world’s major powers and remind them of their role in resolving the Kashmir issue. She stated that Kashmiris made unmatched sacrifices that must be recognized by the world, and that the world must resolve this vexing South Asian issue in order to bring peace to the region.Sheikh Abdul Mateen, another APHC leader, stated that the people of IIOJK will never bow down to India until the final settlement is reached, which is only freedom from Indian slavery.
India’s human rights record is the worst in the IIOJK, according to HRCP Vice-President Bashir Khan Saddozai, which is enough to bring India before the International Court of Justice for crimes against humanity. He stated that world powers should speak out against the atrocities committed by India’s 900,000 troops in IIOJK since 1989.
