Pakistan is demanding FATF to take action against India in sponsoring terrorism
July 5, 2021
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has urged the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to sanction India for funding terrorism in Pakistan.
The foreign minister said in a statement on Sunday that evidence of Indian state-sponsored terrorism unveiled by Islamabad last year had been vindicated after an investigation concluded that Lahore’s Johar Town blast was orchestrated by the intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
Qureshi praised the efforts of the investigation agencies, counter-terrorism department, agencies, and Punjab police for their professionalism in locating the perpetrators of the heinous Johar Town blast.
The foreign minister stated that he and National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf held a press conference some time ago to share their concerns with the international community. The Minister also reiterated that Pakistan had enforced effective legislation to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
