Prime Minister Imran Khan & COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa Visit ISI HQ; Briefed About National Security and Afghanistan

Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed on recent developments in Afghanistan at the headquarters of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) on Friday, along with top civil and military leaders.The prime minister was accompanied by three service chiefs, federal ministers, and Chief Ministers of Balochistan Jam Kamal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan.
Major General Faiz Hameed, Director General of the ISI, welcomed the delegation to the spy agency’s headquarters, where they were briefed on recent events in Afghanistan.The national and military leadership received a comprehensive briefing on national security and regional dynamics, with a focus on the current situation in Afghanistan.
The prime minister praised ISI’s tireless efforts for national security and expressed satisfaction with the agency’s professional preparedness.Throughout the year, the Prime Minister has paid several visits to ISI headquarters. He chaired a meeting of the National Intelligence Coordination Committee there, which was attended by heads of intelligence agencies, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and senior members of the federal cabinet, during his most recent visit.
The prime minister was briefed in detail on how to improve intelligence cooperation, and he expressed his satisfaction with the National Intelligence Coordination Committee’s performance.
