Prime Minister Imran Khan& Tajik President Emomali Rahmon discuss Bilateral Relations through Telephonic Conversation

Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke by phone with Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon. The two leaders discussed the follow-up to the Dushanbe talks last month during their telephonic conversation. They expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together to strengthen ties even further.Pakistan’s contribution to efforts for long-term peace and stability in Afghanistan was discussed by Prime Minister Imran Khan with President Rahmon. In this context, he emphasized the importance of national reconciliation.
PM Imran Khan stressed the importance of meeting the Afghan people’s humanitarian needs.He emphasized the importance of the international community in providing Afghanistan with critical humanitarian aid. The premier also emphasized the critical importance of immediate economic engagement with Afghanistan in order to avoid economic collapse and alleviate the suffering of ordinary Afghans.
The two leaders agreed to keep in close contact in order to better coordinate their efforts in support of Afghanistan’s peace and stability.The Prime Minister also thanked President Rahmon for the warm welcome he and his delegation received during their recent visit to Dushanbe.
