VT-4 Tank another symbol of Pak-China strategic ties: Gen Qamar

General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited Gujranwala to witness the commissioning of a state-of-the-art Chinese-made VT-4 tank into Strike Formation.
“VT-4 Tank is another symbol of Pakistan-China strategic cooperation and defence collaboration, and its induction will boost strike capabilities of our formations,” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoted Gen Qamar as saying.He also saw a demonstration of the VT-4 Tank, arobust warfighting machine.
“The fast-changing dynamics of warfare demand the highest degree of professionalism and rigorous training, with due emphasis on harnessing sophisticated technologies,” the army chief added.
According to the ISPR, the VT-4 can be compared to any modern main battle tank in the world due to its advanced armour protection, high maneuverability, and exceptional firepower.It is regarded as “a potent weapon of strike formations” due to its auto transmission system and deep-water fording operation capability.
The COAS also went to the VT-4 Dynamic Integrated Training Simulator.Interacting with officers and troops, he stated that continuous improvement of conventional capabilities is “essential for maintaining a qualitative edge over the adversary and deterring aggression.
